Post 4 : Music

Hi guys : How have you been doing? I hope great! Today's blog  corresponds to one of the topics you chose: MUSIC. To be honest, I must admit that I don't know much about music, I mean, I like some singers or bands , but I can't explain why or what  music style it is : I simply have no idea about it.. I like it just because . That's it!  During  my university years, I  mainly listened to music that was politically biased: Inti Illimani, Victor Jara, Quilapayún, Merecdes Sosa , and also some Brazilian musicians, such as : Chico Buarque, Maria Betanha, Gal Costa, Milton Nascimento etc.  I just started listening to other types of music , specially English singers, just after democracy came, that is in the 90's. Then I discovered  English rock , like ; Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Genesis,  Police, etc and in recent times , Adelle,  and Amy Winehouse. But  , if I've got to mention ONE favourite composer  undoubtedly, the best one in Spanish language is , Joan Manuel Serrat. Probably, none of you have ever heard about him because he's too old for you,. However, in my opinion he's the best composer in Spanish  only comparable to Chico Buarque in Brazil.  What about you? what kind of music do you prefer? Post 3 : My favourite piece of technology

Hi everyone :  Although my generation had to get used to  technology and internet  all of a sudden, I  - personally , have become  very dependant on it: I can't imagine planning a class  without a computer and internet, for instance.  The same happens when thinking about my free time: a smart tv and  a smartphone  have become indispensable objects that I use everyday during working days or holidays.  Therefore, if I'm asked about my favourite piece of technology, I'd definitely say , my computer. I use it to work, watch series, browse for internet  information  (much faster than doing it on a tv set)  also contact my foreign  friends via skype, etc.etc. . What about you? What is your most indispensable piece of technology? I mean the one you can't imagine your studies, work  or life without.  Write  about that / those piece (s) of technology explaining why they are so important to you. Hi guys : How  have you been doing? Too much work? We are approaching the end  of the term, so it must be tiring, right?  I suppose  you've   got to study for all your subjects and try  to pass them all. How many subjects have you had this term?   What is your favourite one? What type of subject was it,? I mean, did you have to do practical or theoretical activities? Was it hard or easy? What were the main contents you've seen in that subject? Why did you like it: was it because of the contents? the teacher?the schedule? Post 7 : A career -reelated website / an Expert in your field.

Hi guys :  Today  I 'll tell you  about 2 favourite websites I visit almost daily:  www.youtube.com and www.ted.com. I like them because in the first one I can find lots of material for my classes, many tutorials about other things I'm interested in, such as : old films, documentaries, foreign languages etc whereas in the second one, I can find lots of  lectures on very different topics - science, technology, politics,arts, etc given by very important professors, researchers that are quite relevant and outstanding in these days.  What about you? Do you have any favourite website?This week you've got 2 options to choose ONE to  write about. The first one is about a career related webiste you enjoy visiting. You have to provide the link, describe the website, say how often you visit it, explain why you like it. The second one is about an expert on your field that you admire. Say who he/she is,what he/she has done,why you like him/her, include his/her image. Don't forget to add comments to 3 of your classmates’ blogs and  a comment on your teacher's post.  Use  170 words.

Post 9 : A free-themed topic

Hi bloggers: Today's post is a free one , which means you must choose what to write about.   In my case, I can't help thinking about our next looong weekend ( Hurraaa!!!) I hope to do a lot of things during those days. 2 birthday parties, going shopping, going swimming, watching films, reading some pending books, etc etc. I mean I ve got so many plans that I'm sure I won't be able to do many of them ( except for the 2 birthday parties,!!!)  Besides, we must consider the weather forecast for this weekend, which is very bad- rainy and windy, just as last weekend. I hope to have electricity and water!! What topic would you like to write about? Why are you interested in that topic?
